12화 이유

11월 첫 주, 은호는 우연히 태경의 책상 위 서류를 보게 됐다.

작년 인사평가서였다. 팀장이 실수로 놓고 간 모양이었다. 은호는 곧바로 시선을 돌렸지만, 한 줄이 눈에 박혔다.

*본인이 감당할 수 있는 것보다 늘 더 많이 떠안으려 함.*

*권한 위임을 거의 하지 않음. 개선 필요.*

은호는 그 종이를 뒤집어 놓고 자리로 돌아왔다.

그날 저녁, 태경이 또 야근 준비를 하는 걸 보고 은호가 말했다. "그거 제가 할게요."

"됐어요."

"아니요." 은호가 자료를 가져갔다. "제가 할게요. 대리님은 가세요."

태경이 뭐라 말하려다 멈췄다. 잠시 은호를 보다가, 결국 짧게 말했다. "…내일 아침에 봐요."

그리고 정말로 갔다. 아홉 시가 되기 전에 퇴근하는 건, 은호가 온 뒤로 처음이었다.

In the first week of November, Eunho happened to see a document on Taekyung's desk.

It was last year's performance appraisal — the team leader must have left it there by mistake. Eunho looked away immediately, but one line had already caught his eye.

Eunho turned the paper face down and went back to his own desk.

That evening, seeing Taekyung getting ready to stay late again, Eunho said, "I'll do that."

"It's fine."

"No." Eunho took the file from him. "I'll do it. You go home."

Taekyung started to say something, then stopped. He looked at Eunho for a moment, and finally said, "…See you in the morning."

And he actually left. Before nine — the first time since Eunho had joined.
