65화 후임

7월 중순, 후임이 정해졌다.

옆 팀에서 온 2년차였다. 이름은 세연. 조용하고 메모를 많이 하는 사람이었다.

인수인계는 2주였다. 은호는 태경이 자기에게 했던 방식을 그대로 따라갔다. 문서에 있는 건 문서로 넘기고, 문서에 없는 것만 따로 적었다.

*창고 관리자는 재고 기준점을 200개라고 말할 겁니다. 실제로는 180입니다. 2021년에 한 번 부족했던 적이 있어서 올려 부르는 거예요. 그냥 두세요. 월 오만 원 더 나가는 게 말싸움보다 쌉니다.*

쓰고 나서 은호는 잠깐 멈췄다.

작년에 태경이 자기에게 남긴 문장과 거의 똑같았다.

*재무팀은 25일 전에 올린 건 다 통과시키고 그 뒤 건 다 물어봅니다. 규정이 아니라, 우리 결재를 보는 담당자가 마감 주에 일찍 퇴근해서 그래요.*

세 번째 항목을 쓰다가, 은호는 손을 멈췄다.

태경의 메모에는 지안 과장에 관한 줄이 있었다. 구두로 요청받으면 서면으로 달라고 하라는.

지금은 그 사람이 없다. 그래도 쓸까 잠깐 고민하다, 은호는 다르게 썼다.

*누가 구두로 뭘 요청하면 서면으로 달라고 하세요. 이유는 설명하지 않아도 됩니다. 기록을 남기는 방식이라고만 하세요.*

이름을 지웠다.

In mid-July a successor was named.

A second-year from the next team. Her name was Seyeon — quiet, and she took a lot of notes.

The handover ran two weeks. Eunho followed the same method Taekyung had used with him. What was in the documents he passed through documents, and he wrote down only what was not.

*The warehouse manager will tell you the reorder point is 200. It is 180. He rounds up because he was short once in 2021. Leave it alone — the extra fifty thousand won a month is cheaper than an argument.*

After writing it he stopped for a moment.

It was almost exactly the sentence Taekyung had left him a year ago.

*Finance approves anything submitted before the 25th and questions anything after. That is not policy. The analyst who reviews our submissions leaves early during closing week.*

Writing the third item, his hand paused.

Taekyung's note had a line about Ms. Kang. About asking for things in writing when requested verbally.

She was not here now. He thought about it for a moment, then wrote it differently.

*If anyone asks you for something verbally, ask for it in writing. You do not have to explain why. Just say it is how you keep records.*

He left the name out.
