47화 마지막 출장

4월 넷째 주, 두 사람은 마지막 출장을 갔다.

부산에서 열리는 물류 컨퍼런스였다. 싱가포르 지사에서 쓸 현지 파트너를 물색하는 게 목적이었고, 원래는 태경 혼자 갈 예정이었다.

"은호 씨도 같이 가요." 팀장이 말했다. "어차피 실무 이어받을 거니까 얼굴은 익혀둬야지."

KTX에서 두 사람은 나란히 앉았다.

창밖으로 논이 지나갔다. 태경은 자료를 보고 있었고, 은호는 그 옆에서 창밖을 봤다.

"대리님."

"네."

"저 이런 거 처음이에요. 출장."

"…그러네요."

"그러니까 실수하면 봐주세요."

태경이 자료에서 눈을 뗐다. 잠깐 은호를 보더니, 짧게 말했다.

"실수해도 돼요."

"네?"

"제가 있잖아요." 태경이 다시 자료로 시선을 돌렸다. "이번엔."

*이번엔.*

은호는 그 두 글자를 또 들었다.

In the fourth week of April, the two of them went on a final business trip.

It was a logistics conference in Busan. The purpose was to scout local partners for the Singapore branch, and originally Taekyung was to go alone.

"Take Eunho with you," the team leader said. "He's taking over operations anyway. He should meet people."

On the train, they sat side by side.

Rice fields passed outside the window. Taekyung was reading documents; Eunho watched the view beside him.

"Taekyung."

"Yes?"

"This is my first one. A business trip."

"…So it is."

"So go easy on me if I mess up."

Taekyung looked up from his documents. He looked at Eunho for a moment, then said briefly,

"You can mess up."

"Sorry?"

"I'm here." He turned back to his papers. "This time."

*This time.*

Eunho heard those two words again.
