엘리베이터 문이 열리는 순간, 은호는 잠깐 숨을 멈췄다. 낯선 냄새, 낯선 소음, 낯선 시선들.

"신입사원이죠? 오늘부터 제가 담당이에요."

돌아보니 셔츠 소매를 손목까지 단정히 채운 남자가 서 있었다. 표정에 큰 감흥이 없었다. 은호는 습관처럼 웃으며 손을 내밀었지만, 남자는 그 손을 잠깐 쳐다보다가 대신 복도 쪽을 가리켰다. "자리 저기예요."

허공에서 어색하게 멈춘 손이 슬그머니 내려갔다. 이름표를 흘낏 보니 "태경"이라고 적혀 있었다.

*뭐야, 이 사람.*

자리에 앉자마자 메일함에 새 메일이 도착해 있었다. 오늘 오전 회의 안내였다.

The moment the elevator doors opened, Eunho held his breath. Unfamiliar smells, unfamiliar noise, unfamiliar faces.

"You must be the new employee. I'll be your supervisor starting today."

He turned and saw a man whose shirt sleeves were buttoned neatly at the wrist. His expression showed little interest. Eunho smiled out of habit and reached out his hand, but the man only glanced at it before pointing toward the hallway instead. "Your desk is over there."

His hand stopped awkwardly in the air, then slowly dropped. A quick look at the name tag showed one word: Taekyung.

*What kind of person is he?*

As soon as he sat down, a new message was waiting in his inbox. It was a notice about the morning meeting.
